Michael O'Connell, CFNP, is a certified family nurse practitioner at MountainView Medical Group. He has worked for La Clinica de Familia, Rio Grande Urology, Wexford Health Sources and the Doña Ana County Detention Center. O'Connell had his article, "Effects of an Asthma Club in the Southwest Border," published in the American Journal of Nurse Practitioners in July 2000. O'Connell is licensed by the American Nurses Credentialing Center. He is passionate about the local community and has worked on numerous projects, including evaluating the Border Health Mobile Clinic, developing a crisis intervention program in Hatch, NM, and initiating a school-based clinic at Santa Teresa High School.
