About
Dr. Pedro Armendáriz is a native of Juarez, Chihuahua but was raised in Hardesty, a rural town in the Oklahoma panhandle. Dr. Armendáriz received his bachelor's degree with a major in biology and a minor in chemistry from Oklahoma Panhandle State University. He earned his medical degree from the Universidad Autónoma de Guadalajara and later completed a pre-internship program at New York Medical College. He finished a transitional year in Ponce, Puerto Rico at Hospital Damas. He then completed his family medicine residency with Hidalgo Medical Services in Silver City, NM and is board certified in family medicine. Dr. Armendáriz was practicing in Poplar, Montana for Indian Health Services prior to moving to Silver City.
In Silver City, he served as the senior services medical director focusing on geriatric care, chronic care management and rheumatology with Project Echo Rheumatology with UNM. He is currently the medical director of hospice with Haven Hospice and a preceptor for the family medicine residency at HMS.
Dr. Armendáriz and his wife, Maribel, have three children, ages eleven, fourteen and seventeen. In addition to English, he also speaks Spanish.
